From the Hypnotic to the Analytic: The Role of Hypnosis in the Early Development of Psychoanalysis

Dr. Robert McLaughlan, Lecturer in English Literature, Newcastle University, will introduce two essays from the Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud, ‘Hypnosis’ (1891) from Volume I, and ‘On Psychotherapy’ (1905) from Volume VII.
